Honor Loved Ones
We offer many ways to remember and honor loved ones here at CSI Nyack, whether it be a loved one who has died, or to honor a special occasion in one's life.
Tree of Life: Remember your simcha through the inscription of a leaf or a rock at the base of the tree, in honor of a loved one or friend’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah, wedding, graduation or other special occasions.
Memorial Tablet/Yahrzeit Plaques: In our sanctuary, we have permanently mounted memorial tablets that are lighted on the Yahrzeit anniversary and at Yizkor.
Brick Walkway: An opportunity to show your support for CSI Nyack and leave your permanent mark. Make a donation and your personalized engraved brick will become part of the entryway. Proceeds raised from all brick donations will build our Building Fund. Commemorate special milestone events such as births, Bar/Bat mitzvahs, confirmations, graduations, or other simchas by donating one or more bricks. Honor a friend or family member or recognize CSI Nyacks’s role in your family’s life.
Sanctuary Chairs and Library Plaques: Another way to mark a special occasion and honor a loved one is by dedicating a sanctuary chair or a library plaque. Some have been dedicated in honor of B'nai Mitzvah, or time spent learning with Adult education courses, and others choose this as another way to turn a loved one's memory into a lasting legacy for our congregation.
Oneg/Kiddish Sponsorship: Our members and the broader community can sponsor the oneg at our Shabbat services for any number of reasons: to celebrate a birthday, to honor a wedding or a conversion to Judaism, congratulate a friend, or to mark the yahrzeit of a loved one.
